ATTENTION!!!

This is a special notice from the NRA regarding upcoming issues THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TIMES IN OUR HISTORY – please take a moment to send a message to lawmakers:

On March 19, the House Judiciary Committee will consider House Bill 24-1292, which bans the manufacturing, importing, purchasing, selling, offering to sell, or transferring ownership of so called “assault weapons”. Contact members of the committee by clicking below and urge them to OPPOSE HB24-1292!

“ASSAULT” WEAPON BAN LINK – PLEASE SIGN EVERYONE PLEASE…

House Bill 24-1349, would impose an 11% excise tax on the sale of all firearms, firearm accessories, and ammunition throughout the state. This unnecessary tax to practice your constitutional right adds to the 11% federal excise tax through the Pittman-Robertson Act, along with a variety of other state and local taxes and fees. HB24-1349 is set to be heard in the House Finance Committee on Monday, March 25th, at 1:30 p.m. Please use the button below to contact committee members and urge them to OPPOSE HB24-1349!

Senate Bill 24-131 would further limit places where firearms may be carried throughout Colorado, including polling places, public parks, community centers, churches, college campuses, and more. By creating arbitrary lines that turn law abiding citizens into criminals, this bill would make Coloradans less safe, and allow criminals more places to commit violent crime, especially considering that 94% of mass shootings occur in gun-free zones. SB24-131 is set to be heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, March 13th, at 1:30 p.m. in the Old Supreme Court Chambers. Please contact committee members by clicking below, urging them to OPPOSE SB24-131!

HB24-1174 would increase the training requirements for concealed carry permit applicants and requires class instructors to be certified by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. The concealed carry programs in Colorado already go above and beyond in certifying and training individuals so that they can protect themselves and their families. This bill is now eligible for a vote on the House Floor. Please use the button below to contact your State Representative and urge them to OPPOSE HB24-1174.

What People Are Saying

I had a great time. I’ve been overseas for 14 years, so I’ve not had my hand on a weapon for an extensive period of time. This place had everything I required and more. I’ll be coming back for my concealed permit here. I had a great time. I’ve been overseas for 14 years, so I’ve not had my hand on a weapon for an extensive period of time. I went here during the weekday and there was no problems whatsoever. The RSO was cool, the guys that checked me were nice and the people that were shooting around me where polite. The range was clean and I didn’t have any problems putting rounds down range.

Great people, great service and great resources, they are Very safe have great staff and even have food I also tried an alligator hotdog for the first time along with deep fried Oreos. They definitely know what they’re doing and They are very safe but also patient and a really great coaches if you’re new and if your experienced they can help you calibrate your scope or do a boresight. They also have pistols and shotguns for rental. Our range master James was really awesome and helpful too! I definitely recommend this place.

I appreciate how the Matt, Josh, Nate, Nick, Giovanni and the rest of the staff treat visitors at the FSC. You may see reviews in here about how rude and disrespectful these guys can be. To there credit, they are responsible for the safety of everyone on the complex. And anytime I have heard them yell at anyone is during live fire when it hard to hear anyone over all the weapons fire. The RSOs take time to familiarize each new visitor with the rules and expectations of the range. Occasionally you find a visitor or two that chooses not to comply with the rules and end

Excellent place to go and shoot. Lots of great people working that will make sure the range runs correctly, and safely. I would bring my family here. This is a great location to come if you are just learning to shoot, for the first time. There is also a lot of fun for us more experienced shooters. I absolutely loved my visit!

A very scenic area, very close to the city. We love going to cherry creek to mess around with the family on the weekends.
The lake is very fun, and always has a lot of other families. There are a lot of trails, biking areas, and hiking to do at this park! It is very popular place on holidays, so be prepared for a very long wait to get in, if you don’t come early. Fishing, hiking, camping and shooting (at the range), are all great events you can partake in while at Cherry Creek State Park!

I believe in giving credit when credit is due, so I’m taking time to comment on my experience at this facility. Yesterday was my first time here and I had a good time. From check-in to check out, the customer service was exemplary. The two guys at the front office greeted me with a welcome and provided me complimentary ear protection after the ones I had kept pulling away due to the shotgun recoil. The RSO displayed patience, courtesy and was thorough with the safety measures, which I truly appreciated. They’ve gained a new returning customer!

Wow what a fun time of year! With 2023 coming to a close it’s a great time for big clean ups! At the shotgun range we have a bird debris clean up- the range is open but you might see a slight delay while trucks move bins or equipment to either side of the range. Don’t worry though! You’ll be able to shoot just MAKE SURE TO CHECK IN WITH RANGE STAFF!!!
